Enrolling in our school
Thank you for considering Aspendale Gardens Primary School as your choice for your child.
The Department of Education and Training (DET) has a new state-wide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline.
The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Aspendale Gardens Primary School. The timeline applies for all children starting Foundation (Prep) in 2027.

You will be able to apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) 2027 at Aspendale Gardens Primary School from Monday 20th April 2026.
- Download the Foundation (Prep) enrolment information pack 'Enrolling in Foundation (Prep)
- Submit an Application for Enrolment Foundation (Prep) by Friday 31st July 2026 through the Education Department portal
- You will be notified of the outcome of your application by Friday 13th August 2026. If you receive an offer of placement, you should contact our school to accept the offer by Friday 28th August 2026.
- Take part in Transition sessions and an Orientation Day during Term 4, 2026
- Your child will start Foundation (Prep) from Thursday 28th January 2027.
